Kari Sam Wuhrer was born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. She made her acting debut in her teens. Her most well-known role was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has been blessed with three brothers. When she was in her teens, she performed at nightclubs in the dark, escaping from home. As a teenager her nightclub, she performed and then slipped away to perform. Kari began acting at the Wooster school aged thirteen, and went further to pursue a degree in drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the famous Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was still in the teen years. She had her first big appearance with MTV Remote Control in 1987.
