Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer, recognized as one of the band members in the band One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He's also the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. There, he and three schoolmates made up a group of musicians called White Eskimo. The group won the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive results. Though he's been attracted to music, despite his passion, he was considering becoming a lawyer and physical therapist. At one point, he worked for a short time in a baker's shop in his city and hoped to assist economically at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's tune Is not She Lovely. The band had by this. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. During the competition the band sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders to win the contest. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell failed to take home the contest. Then Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollars contract with Syco.
